DIY Painted Wine Glass Party

Paint & Sip, or is it Sip & Paint? Anyway, so much fun. These parties seem to be popping up everywhere. I went to check out a local one and couldn't believe the $45 price tag. I understand that supplies cost money, but still. Captain Man always teases me about being cheap. I definitely know how to stretch a dollar, so I decided to investigate and find a cheaper alternative.

I popped into one of my favorite stores, Dollar Tree (where everything really is $1), and went to the glassware section. Dollar Tree always has an amazing selection of wine glasses, and you can choose whatever style, color or shape you'd like. Sometimes you can even find a pack of small paint brushes in the craft aisle.
Next, you'll need some acrylic paint. These are usually between the $1-$2 range and can be found at The Knothole (a great local craftstore for people who live near Spearfish), Hobby Lobby or Walmart, etc. If you weren't able to find your small set of brushes at Dollar Tree, you'll be able to find them at one of these craft or big box stores.
When you throw your party, you can choose a theme (have everyone paint trees, flowers, etc.), print out a picture from the internet to use as reference, use nature as inspiration, or just let people improvise. Regardless, it is a ton of cheap fun. You can split the cost with all your guests, or have each guest bring their own supplies and have each guest bring 1 acrylic paint color, so you can all share. Happy Crafting!
