I, like a lot of people, have a love affair with hummus. I slather it on sandwiches instead of mayo, put it out for guests, and use it as a snack on the regular. Hummus isn't cheap, though, even when it is on sale. A little container ranges from $2-$5! If I don't have any self control, I could probably eat a container by myself in one or two sittings. So if you love hummus, or are looking for an easy, inexpensive and healthy snack, here you go.

Hummus Recipe (Without Tahini - Don't Worry, It Still Tastes Awesome)
2 15-ounce cans chickpeas (garbanzo beans), rinsed
2 cloves garlic
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon cumin
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon paprika
Throw all ingredients in a blender or food processor and pulse until smooth. Serve with pitas, pita chips, crackers, veggies or whatever your heart desires.
Additions:
Roasted garlic
Roasted red pepper
Jalapeno
I love roasted garlic and roasted red pepper, and just put them in my convection oven to roast before making this. All you'd do would be to add these extra ingredients in with the ingredients above to make your flavored hummus.
